Poor Ehlo.  Gets killed in multiple languages.  The said thing about this shot was that Ehlo played hurt that game…and had a great game too.  Life is cruel sometimes.

Michael and Magic

Michael and Magic

I was seven when this happened.  My friend and I stupidly gave up on Jordan and the Bulls and went outside…then we heard my family screaming.  We ran back in and my dad had a big shit eating grin on his face…ready to teach his kid a life lesson.  ”Son, ” he said. “Never give up on your favorite team.  Especially when Michael Jordan is on your side.”

He went one way…floated about 15 yards…said well I dunno…

I posted this video a couple of days ago, but worth throwing out there again.  Listen, I think LeBron James is the best player in the NBA and will go down as one of the all time greats.  BUT, 8 points in a Finals game where your team is on the cusp of stomping the throat all while you are guarded by the likes of JKidd and Jason and Stevenson?  He didn’t even look aggressive in the 4th…a time when his team truly needed his greatness as they sputtered against some Mavs defensive wrinkles and kept turning the ball over.

I don’t lame LeBron for the comparisons to MJeff, but they need to stop, like now.  LeBron has the skill set and physical tools to be an all time great…but you should never start uttering his name along side the best who ever did it quite so easily.  Save that conversation for the end of his career…or, if you are a media member and/or live for hyperbole, after LBJ has a fantastic performance in game 5 (which I expect and am kinda excited about).

Seeme like a good time to run this.

I think historical comparisons are good for the game.  In this case, there’s no comparison needed.

Awesome.

I’m not sure if you remember the pre-game warm-ups before the all-star game in the early nineties when Shaq and MJ were messing around. Shaq showed some skills as evidenced in the video above. He always wanted to be a point guard.

Still, and probably forever, the GOAT in my eyes.
